Video game testing programs are scams. You need to understand that this is undeniably true! These programs will not work for you. Through some hard research and through multiple studies, I have gained supporting facts that these programs are false advertiser, and what they pitch is not what really happens in the game testing world.
What you don't know about video game testing
The pay is simply ridiculous. The programs claim that you can make $80 an hour from being an employed video game tester. HA! This is absolutely false. The average starting pay for THQ is only $9-$10. If you become a professional, than you can make about $12-$15 an hour. But as an employed video game tester, you cannot make up $80 an hour like the programs say you can. The only way that you can is if you become a self-employed tester, but that's not what the program promises you is it?
The programs claim that you will work at home. Another false statement. In reality, testers actually go to the company in order to test the games. Companies aren't going to mail you their newest, hottest, and unreleased game via mail. They would be running the risk of having you copying it and redistributing it, getting it lost in the mail, getting it redirected to a new destination, getting the game damaged, etc. So to fix this problem, they just have you go over to the closes company and test the games there. You do not work at your house in this career.
They claim that you get to keep the video game. As described above, we already know this as untrue but did you also know that you don't get to play the whole game? You only play about a 5-20 minute part of the game until you can't find anymore glitches in the game. This way companies can get you to focus on just one part of the game rather than the whole thing, so they break you up into groups and have you play the game in separate parts so you can find the glitches in that game.
These programs are scams and should not be trusted. They will not get you to make money from video game testing and they will crush your dreams about the job!
